  Good food and drink selection. Attentive servers. Nice atmosphere, separate bar area, great outdoor seating in good weather.

  After spending several hours in the hospital with my service dog last night, only to return this morning for several more hours with her surgeon. On my way home I received a call saying my sister was just diagnosed with stage III cancer . I called a friend, Who was visiting from out of town he wanted to meet for lunch so I suggested redwoods in Chester. Upon arriving, we met the hostess where I then asked if we could sit in the corner table since I had my dog with me I was told no that we had to either sit at a two top or four top. There were no other customers on either of the patios just us at that time. We ordered our food , Then the hostess rudely came out telling me that we could not have my service dog with me. I explained I had her vest that I could get it out of the car,being that I was distraught I wasn't thinking and didn't have the vest. As I was trying to explain to the hostess, was very demanding only kept saying I want to see her papers. I had no problem getting both her vest and her papers out of the car. After she read her papers she handed them back to me. Never said I'm sorry but I needed to do that, instead was very rude! When our waitress came to the table I asked if someone complained since there was nobody out there and I was told no ,also very rudely she said it was the law. I had no problem Cooperating with this establishment. However I have to say, never before did I ever have a problem there. Nor have I ever been asked for her papers anywhere! Only The exact opposite we have always been greeted very warm and openly. The waitress barely attended to us, then one other couple did come halfway through our lunch . She seemed to have a very bad attitude. She did ask finally, how our food was. I explained that our burgers were mixed up mine was overcooked and my friends was rare. She never said can I fix that for you or anything just walked away. It's not the food that was such an issue, I just wanted to sit down with A comforting friend and relax. The owner came out I wanted to speak to him, he said he was going to a meeting . Needless to stay we never stayed for dessert we left. By the way as we were Having our appetizer I put the air conditioner on for the dog and put her in the car behind us because I was so disgusted with the way we are being treated .I was very disappointed and will never recommend or return to redwoods ever again. I hope the next person who goes there for lunch will never be treated the way we were.. Can you imagine this was only outside on the patio with no one there not even in the restaurant!
